I got this cake topper to make a cake for my 9 year old son. He is an Indiana Jones fan and wanted an Indiana Jones cake. The local stores did not have anything he liked when we accidentally discovered this. Since we were having a small party, I thought this would be perfect for my son and I would save money by making my own cake.



I used it on a 13 X 9 cake and I dyed the frosting brown to match. It looked nice and he really liked it. It fit fine on the 13 X 9 cake, but with just enough room to write. It would not fit anything smaller, however. Now he uses the cake topper as a toy!

This was delivered today and is at a good price. I don't see how there's a problem with the flower nails not staying in place as stated by other reviewers, especially when the "platform" part of it stays within the "cut-out" design of the lid. All one has to do is to place the flower nails with the nail tips pointing toward the bottom row of plastic columns in the middle of the case, then tilt the whole case backwards a little and shut the lid. For those looking to see what's included in the set, all you have to do is look for the product in the Wilton website or even Michaels website. Easy as 1-2-3!!! However, it looks like Amazon has the description listed now but in its reviews, it still lists a standard coupler and an angled one. The set comes with 2 standard couplers and the cardboard packaging on the set states that for the large tips, use a "cut bag without coupler or a 14-inch bag with large coupler." The only thing I somewhat dislike is the plastic case which has plastic hinges....with time, it'll probably become brittle and break.

This set is full of many wonderful tips, but there are a few problems. The Nails (as many reviews have already stated) do not stay in place when In try to close the case (so I decided to store them in Wilton Ultimate Tool Caddy). The other problem is that the set comes with large tips, but no large couplers. That's just silly!

Also, the description says the set includes an angled coupler - it doesn't, so the description should be changed. Overall a good product, but it does have it's flaws.

I ordered this to try because of all the great reviews, but was not pleased with the outcome. The color didn't seem to be any different than what I could get using Wilton icing coloring. Also my icing started to separate in the bag while I was trying to decorate the cake which also made it darker than the icing I had already put on the cake. I guess it was separating from the heat of my hands holding the bag. I have never had this problem with the Wilton colors. I guess I will continue to look for a coloring that can make my icing brighter and darker shades.
